A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding with my friend, Aurora. She is a wonderful photographer here in Austin and we also used to work together at GSD&M - it's funny how the universe brings people back together. Most of the pressure was on her as the main shooter, my goal as second shooter was to get a certain angle that she wouldn't be able to capture during the ceremony. If there was time I was also hoping to get some candids of the guests and the wedding party. It was such a beautiful wedding, I stayed much longer than I anticipated. Everyone was having so much fun, and the light was beautiful.
The couple was married at the beautiful Mercury Hall in South Austin. It was built in 1904 in the tiny town of Mercury about 120 miles outside of Austin and was moved to Austin in 1997 when the town decided to build a more modern building for their congregation. It was absolutely lovely.
